He says he’s always amazed at how many people pay him to pick up junk. 1-800-GOT-JUNK recently released a list of the strangest junk. They have compiled a list with the most bizarre items. “weird junk.”These items complete the Top 5.

5. Garage full of garden gnomes. After tenants moved out of their Minnesota home, this collection was discovered. Their extended family of garden gnomes didn’t make it to the final cut.

“My initial reaction was that her teenage kids must have stolen every garden gnome in town,”Anthony Stamson was a member the stunned cleanup crew.

4. Boxes filled with brand-new electronic accessories. South Carolina’s product design company was closing, so they threw away several truckloads of new accessories for iPads and iPhones. They also had entire coffee machines, smart phones and HD project TVs. The majority of the items were able to be found new homes through local charities.

3. A closet for a mortician. This bizarre find came from an abandoned California storage unit. The closet was used for dead bodies storage, similar to a morgue.

“Once I realized what it was used for, I felt creeped out but also puzzled. Why was it in an abandoned storage container?” says Flo Murray, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise partner.

2. Taxidermy animals. It’s not difficult to find mounted animals. A stuffed albino cobra? It’s strange. How unusual is that stuffed babyoon? It’s quite unusual. Two-headed kitten fetus found in formaldehyde jar. These are some of the most bizarre things you’ll ever see, especially in a San Francisco retirement house.

1. Frozen stem cells from human beings. This is the winner of strange. The 1-800-GOTJUNK team? A crew from Dallas was cleaning out the house of a family moving out of the country. The freezer contained many meat cuts, which the homeowner informed the truck team that they could share. Peggy Lamy, a franchise partner, did not realize that among the frozen items was a green tea bag containing human stem cells. This box belonged to the deceased father. The daughter called days later, panicked and emotional. “We made arrangements to meet them shortly after that to return the precious cells,”Lamy explained. “Strangely, the family did not turn up.”The green tea box has disappeared. The green tea box is still available in Lamy’s freezer. It makes for a great conversation piece.
