RiverRush at Dollywood’s Splash Country

RiverRush is Tennessee’s first watercoaster and will open at Dollywood’s Splash Country waterpark in May. This comes one year after Wild Eagle, Dollywood’s first wing-design rollercoaster in the U.S. premiered.

RiverRush brings water to traditional terrestrial coasters’ climbs, drops and twists. As the 1,175-foot-long, four-person toboggan boat begins its climb up a conveyor 237 feet.

It stands four stories tall and features hairpin turns, dark tunnels, and a unique waterpark experience.

Dollywood extends summer hours

Dollywood opens the doors to Dollywood on June 22nd “Great American Summer,”Six weeks of extended operation. Live performance “The Star Spangled Banner”Every day at 10 a.m., a music-synchronized fireworks display known as “Dolly’s Nights of Many Colors”The day ends at 10 p.m.

In 2012, Dollywood was awarded five Golden Ticket Awards. These are the industry’s most prestigious awards. They included the awards for providing the best live entertainment, and the most friendly park.

The Year of Children at the Titanic

The Titanic Museum Attraction pays tribute to the 133 children that travelled on the Titanic back in 1912. “Discover the Children of Titanic”The theme of special exhibits, events and activities about the ship’s youngest passengers is “The Luxury Ship”.

“The children’s stories are no less important or dramatic than those of the ship’s elite passengers,”John Joslyn, the leader of the first private exploration dive at the shipwreck, said it.

High Above It All

At the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, a tall Ferris wheel lifts you up to 200 feet above the ground, you can see Pigeon Forge from a bird’s-eye perspective.

The attraction opens in spring as an early component of The Island in Pigeon Forge, a retail-entertainment-dining-lodging complex.
