The eco-savvy homeowner will always be on the lookout to find new, earth-friendly and environmentally-safe features that fit their lifestyle. This is especially true if the new features add beauty to their home.
What is the next revolutionary home improvement that will allow homeowners to live in luxury and still help the environment? Recycled porcelain floors and countertops are great options.
EnviroMode, a new terrazzo product from EnviroGLAS for countertops and floors has been released by the company. Terrazzo is an ancient method for creating walkways and floors using marble chips and other fine aggregates. This can be done on top of epoxy resin or concrete. EnviroMode uses recycled porcelain as the aggregate.
EnviroGLAS is the pioneers of recycled glass. They have a partnership with Kohler Co. to recycle their pre-consumer toilets and sinks. This creates beautiful porcelain stone for EnviroMode’s products. It is also harder than traditional marble-terrazzo.
