Do you want to do something that will keep your kids safe from getting hurt while playing sports?

To help promote Athletic TIPS (Towards injury prevention in sports), GlobalGiving, the largest global crowdfunding platform for non-profits, has teamed up to host community workshops throughout the country. This will allow them to educate parents and coaches on how to foster young athletes. “a safer experience”For everyone who plays sports from kindergarten to college.

These workshops will focus on:

* Concussions

* Nutrition

* Dehydration and heat-related conditions

* Musculosketal injuries

Recognized as sports-related injuries “a silent epidemic”The nation’s youth account for almost 8,000 emergency department visits per day. These dire numbers were the catalyst for the launch of the non-profit Athletic TIPS program, which was supported by all health care professionals and athletic directors as well as retired New York Giants legend Michael Strahan.

“GlobalGiving allows us to raise awareness regarding the urgency for appropriate sports-related education,”Sherry McAllister DC is the executive vice president of Foundation for Chiropractic Progress and a program sponsor.

The Palmer College of Chiropractic will host the first workshop in partnership with them. Other workshops are being planned in New Jersey, Boston and Boston.

GlobalGiving.org is open to all, but McAllister encouraged chiropractors to make a donation as their expertise will be a part of the solution. Athletic TIPS will work with them to plan and raise funds, as well as possibly putting them in touch pro athletes to increase interest.
