The average age at which you reach 4 years old Stephanie Rothstein-Bruce was already off and running.
She ran from high school to college at U.C. Santa Barbara native, she can’t recall a time she didn’t run from high school through college. The professional marathoner for Adidas, she and Ben train all year, taking part in U.S. track and street championships, as well as marathons.
“I’ve competed in two Olympic track and field trials,”She says: “and ran away with an eighth-place finish in the 2012 10,000-meter trial. I also won the Big Sur Half Marathon that year and finished third in the Honolulu Marathon.
“I am hardworking and pay attention to what my body is feeling, especially when I’m doing heavy training.”
So when Rothstein-Bruce started suffering from recurring glute and hamstring problems that refused to go away, she made an appointment to see chiropractor Ted Forcum.
“Steph’s back and hamstrings were the focus of my treatments.” Dr. Forcum explains. “In a matter of minutes, blood flow to the injured areas was increased, which gave her greater range of motion, and improved wellness.”
Rothstein-Bruce relies on chiropractic care to keep her performance at its best. She’d love to one day win the New York City Marathon, but her main goal is to make the 2016 Olympic marathon team. For more information, visit .yes2chiropractic.org”>www.yes2chiropractic.org.
