Ron Chernow, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The 2017 Biography, executive produces the three-part series. “Grant,”RadicalMedia and global content leader Lionsgate produced the episode together with Appian Way’s Jennifer Davisson & Leonardo DiCaprio. The first episode will air on Memorial Day Monday, May 25th, and continues for the next two nights at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

Grant is still misunderstood and unknown today, despite his fame worldwide at the time. This three-night miniseries features dramatic scenes, expert commentary and archival photos to show Grant’s true legacy. It includes a rise from humble beginnings to the highest ranks in the military and then to the presidency.
He was president between 1869 and 1877. His leadership helped to keep the United States together through the reconstruction efforts after the Civil War.
Many people don’t know that Grant was able to protect the right of vote for four-million former slaves who were freed at the end the war, despite widespread resistance.
