Despite or maybe because of the COVID-19 epidemic, consumers now want to plan for a financial future that is secure. There’s a higher demand for financial professionals.
Certified financial planners can make career changes or launch a new career through the Career Center, which is sponsored by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., also known as the CFP Board. CFP Board, a non-profit organization, promotes professional standards in personal financial planning.
“The CFP Board Career Center is one of the best resources for finding jobs in the financial planning industry,”Barbara Lommen, associate advisor and financial planner. “It is provided by a reliable source, is easy to use, and opens the door to a great job,”She continues.
Here’s the way that the Career Center works.
Introduce yourself. To apply for jobs, create an account in the career center and receive job alerts.
– Show your skills. Uploading a resume on the Career Center site speeds up the job application process. Employers can see how candidates match up to their openings by uploading it.
Find your match. Users can choose up to five alerts from the job alerts section, using keywords such: “financial planner.”You can customize your job search with the alerts feature. This includes options for type of employment (such as full-time or contract), location (a specific state or city, or working remotely) and job role (such a financial advisor, wealth management or investment advisor).
The Career Center has extensive listings of jobs throughout the United States. It also offers resources for financial professionals at every stage of their careers. In fact, Career CFP® professionals report an 87% client satisfaction rate. (click hereClick here to see the video.
