()Technology has advanced dramatically over the years, creating devices and machines that were impossible 50 years ago. The most fascinating and intriguing technological breakthroughs in society are robots. But it is also the most misunderstood.

Recent Pew Research shows that more than 70% of Americans worry about a world inwhich machines do many of the jobs performed by humans.

People believe humans and robotics can coexist harmoniously and are working to eliminate many of the fears they evoke.

Mouser Electronics Inc. is a top distributor of electronic components and semiconductors based in Fort Worth. Grant Imahara, an engineer celebrity, has teamed up once again for their Empowering Innovation Together program.

Generation Robot is this year’s theme. It features five videos shot around the globe, including one in Japan, Germany, and the U.S. Mouser’s goal was to show how robots can make a positive difference in the lives of people and change the way they interact with them.

The Generation Robot series will cover all aspects of robotics. It will also examine the social and moral impact of robots on society.

The video series opens with Dr. Magnus Egerstedt, the executive director of the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines (Georgia Tech), visiting the Imahara.

He discusses many aspects of robots such as their basics, myths and misconceptions as well as the hopes and fears for the future of robotic technology.

Dr. Egerstedt explains that while robots used to be all about mechanical engineering, today’s robots include psychology because they will be working with humans. Therefore, they must understand people.

The second video is filmed in Augsburg Germany. It focuses on the real meaning of robots and people working together as well as how this interaction will help society.

The third video, due out mid-July will focus on the all robot-staffed hotel in Nagasaki (Japan), where Imahara explores the behavior of robots using only artificial intelligence.
