Nothing signals the beginning of grilling season better than a juicy, hot burger. America’s obsession with hamburgers is not new. It has been around for over 100 years.

Some may not be able to afford it. “burger purists”Some would argue that condiments that a hamburger needs are only mustard, ketchup and a few pickles. Shanghai Burger

Omaha Steaks Burger, 5 oz

2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce

1 leaf iceberg salad or 1 burger roll

Grill 2 shiitake mushrooms

1 pineapple slice

1 tablespoon Curry Mayonnaise (recipe follows)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

1 tablespoon chopped roasted red bell peppers

1 cup chopped green onions

1 tablespoon chopped peanuts

Preheat grill. Grill the burgers until they are cooked through. Grill mushrooms and pineapple slices. Grill burgers, mushrooms and pineapple; brush with teriyaki glaze and glaze. Spread Curry Mayonnaise over lettuce leaf. Garnish with pineapple slice and mushrooms. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions, chopped nuts, and red peppers. Toast burger buns on a grill, and then spread Curry Mayonnaise and teriyaki glaze on each side.

Curry Mayonnaise

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 teaspoon curry powder

12 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon sugar

Mix all ingredients together and stir well. Allow to cool before using.

These tips will help you make the best burger possible, no matter what type of burger.

– Heat burgers in a large skillet to 160°F. While the center will still be pink, the juices will run clear.

Avoid using a spatula to pound down hamburgers. This can cause the juices to escape and spark up.

– Grill the burgers on the grill for about 1 to 2 minutes, if you are serving them with cheese.

Toast hamburger buns for about one minute by placing them face down on the grill, or facing up in the oven or broiler.
