Allison Bickhardt was 18 when she began to experience severe headaches. Although it started off as only a couple of headaches per month, Allison Bickhardt began experiencing severe headaches at the age of 18. “I had never felt pain like that before,” Allison explained. “It was like I had a vise around my head.”

Allison was at her lowest point when her fourth birthday party had to be cancelled due to a severe headache. Allison was devastated by the look on her daughter’s faces when she found out that her birthday party had been cancelled. Allison is just one of the 3.2 million Americans who are affected by chronic headaches.4,5 To raise awareness about the debilitating symptoms and burden of the condition, Allergan, Inc., HealthyWomen and Allergan, Inc. teamed up with Mindy Weiss, a celebrity event planner, to create the Rewrite your Day campaign. This initiative allows 15 people suffering from chronic migraine to relive a moment in their lives that was lost due to the condition. It symbolizes the 15 headache days per month suffered by those with Chronic Migraine.
