()– The week of January 21-27 will mark the largest celebration ever of educational opportunity, with over 32,000 events across the country.
It is the seventh Annual National School Choice Week. The nonpartisan, nonpolitical awareness and nonpartisan event has increased significantly each year.
Who are the celebrants?
Others are parents who take responsibility for their children’s education. They took into account their children’s individual learning styles and interests. They considered all options, including traditional public schools, charter schools and public magnet schools. Then they chose the best education environment for their children.
Some found scholarships that were publicly or privately funded. Others checked waitlists. Many others concluded that the local school was the best for their child.
Some event organizers also happen to be teachers or school leaders. They are proud to play such a vital role in the education of children all over America. Different schools have different educational approaches, curricula and perspectives. This diversity is something to be proud of. Every family is different. Each child is unique. There are children who love Mandarin or violin, and there are children who excel in other areas. Great teachers and school leaders are essential to that excellence.
Community leaders plan events to ensure that more children are able to achieve their academic potential. They create new pathways and raise awareness about the importance to continue expanding access to quality education options for families and children.
National School Choice Week participants might be from different backgrounds and have their own stories. They all share one belief: every child can succeed if they are given the right environment. National School Choice Week is an opportunity to celebrate students, and the promise of a bright future for all Americans, regardless of which school they choose.
