It doesn’t matter if it’s the incredible musical spectrum (heavy metal to ska and rap) or the sweaty delights crowd surfing and moshpits, the Vans Warped Tour grabs thousands of people’s ears each summer and doesn’t let them go.

L.A.-based Dead Sara is the band to be watching among the many other bands that will be relentlessly shredding vocals and guitars on the most anticipated year-end rock tour. The estrogen-led quartet is a hard rocking, original sound that blends nostalgia and originality.

“Dead Sara fashions a strain of primal rock that’s loud enough to awaken the ghosts in both the indie and metal underworlds, and maybe even get them to dance a bit,”Kevin Bronson is a Buzz Bands LA member who follows emerging artists around Los Angeles.

Dead Sara’s singles continue to be played on radio stations across the nation, and their fans are constantly updating their statuses on Facebook and following the news via Twitter. Their self-titled album is similar to Warped Tour’s. It features a diverse mix of genres from blues to gospel and metal that still sounds rock’n’roll.

Their versatility has earned them gigs at some the most prestigious festivals including South by Southwest (SXSW), and Warped Tour. Eminem, Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry have all been included in Warped Tours. Now, Dead Sara’s members, including lead singer Emily Armstrong, guitarist Siouxsie Meley, bassist Chris Null, drummer Sean Friday and bassist Chris Null are hoping to follow their lofty footsteps.

Armstrong and Medley struck a delicate balance. Best friends, Pocket Kid Records (PKR), created their label to release their LP. Instead of letting major labels rip off their unique sound and produce a formulaic album, the band stayed true to their guns and didn’t compromise a single note or verse.

It was risky, as with all bold moves. However, a record distribution deal was struck between Fontana/Universal Records. This was a positive sign. The hard work of Dead Sara paid off. The singles were recorded and the LP was released. “Weatherman”And “Sorry For It All,”You’ll hear some of the most explosive songs on the Vans Tour.
