* Hit the gym. To help reduce stress, schedule workouts around exam study time. It is possible that you will still be able to participate in practices during exam times if you are a member of a team sports, but if so, arrange with your teammates to get some conditioning. Run, shoot hoops, or lift weights.
You can exercise indoors if you aren’t able to go outside or the weather is bad.
* Have a snack. If your stomach is grumbling, it can be difficult to focus. However, wait until exams are over before you indulge in celebratory drinks. You can instead keep some energy-boosting snacks like trail mix or energy bars on hand. Also, keep hydrated.
* Get some air. Are you stressed about exam stress and spending hours in the lab or library? Take a walk around the block, or in the building. You can do wonders by clearing your mind and removing your eyes from the screen.
* Avoid all-nighters. Even though all-night sessions are sometimes inevitable, it’s important to remember the importance of sleeping in order to manage exam stress. Multiple exams in a week can make you more stressed. If you don’t get enough sleep, you will be even more stressed.
Do not overdose on caffeine. Plan your sleep and exam study time. If you are a night owl who studies better from 10 p.m.-2 a.m., then make it work for you. But, remember to take a short nap in the middle of the day.
