()-Parenting can be hard. This past year was especially difficult for parents of school-aged children.
MASK (Mothers Awareness of School Age Kids), is a non-profit organization whose goal it is to provide resources for children, parents, schools and communities to address the problems facing families, and to empower them to make healthy choices. MASK was founded as a non-profit in 2007 and has grown to include a website, a magazine, an application, a digital learning platform and a series YouTube videos.
MASK addresses topics such as managing peer pressure and dealing with trauma. It also discusses how to navigate the peaks, valleys, and challenges of social media. This can be particularly challenging when families are able to rebuild their networks and go back to school or other activities.
“MASK programs teach children and their families how to handle the ever-changing landscape that our children are living in,”Kimberly Cabral is the CEO, founder and publisher of MASK.
The MASK tools can be used by parents and children to help build self-esteem and life skills.
