Fall is a great time to update your look, as the days get shorter and the leaves begin to change color.
While the colder days and nights can chill you, temperature fluctuations can cause hair damage. If your hair is prone to static and frizz, it can be hard to revive and rework your look.
Sarah Potempa, a celebrity stylist, offers these tips and trends for fall hair:
* Renew and revitalize. After spending all summer in the sun, you can revive your hair with a deep conditioner, or leave-in treatment such as the Aussie’s 3-minute Miracle Smoothing treatment, or the Infusium 23, (Repair)ologie treatment.
Both products improve your hair’s texture and shine. Hair will look healthier for the fall thanks to a better texture.
* Pump up the volume. It’s important to thoroughly dry your hair before you go outside due to the cooler temperatures. To give your hair volume and movement, apply a volumizing shampoo and leave-in conditioner at the roots of your hair.
* Keep hair soft and shiny. The trendiest fall hairstyles will feature soft, shiny waves with lots and movement.
You can achieve this look by separating your hair into 2×2 sections. Next, spray a conditioner all over each section. Finally, use a 2-inch curling iron to curl your locks in a spiral direction away from your face.
* Fight the frizz. Your hair can become static when there is cool air in and sweaters are out. Use a little no-frizz gel to comb the fine hairs at the hairline. Use a simple toothbrush to manage the flyaways.
* Pony up to style. After you have your frizz under control try putting your hair in a perfect ponytail.
Use a flat bristle hairbrush to apply hair spray. Next, comb your hair into a neat ponytail with your free hand. For a complete look, wrap a portion of your hair around the ponytail.
