Armstrong Williams is not afraid of challenging the status quo, and is no stranger in controversy. You may not recognize him, but many, especially in Washington, do. He is a well-known conservative commentator. He has served as a legislative advisor and adviser to Strom Thurmond (D-S.C.) as well as as an assistant to the U.S. chairman. Equal Employment Opportunity and the current Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. He is most well-known as Ben Carson’s public face.
Williams’s commitment to diversity is more than just that. Howard Stirk Holdings is a media conglomerate that Williams owns. The corporation also has a minority-owned subsidiary, HSH.
“The world is a diverse place,”K. Marques Mullings (executive vice president of HSH II), “We celebrate the fact that our workforce reflects that diversity, in the range of issues important to the communities we serve.”
HSH now has seven television stations and owns two additional news stations in Las Vegas and Pennsylvania.
“We are very proud of our ability to build on the achievements of our founder, Armstrong Williams,”Shirley Dave, Howard Stirk’s Corporate Manager. “We look forward to offering our new viewers more programming options, and training the next generation of media executives,”Dave adds.
Williams’s ability to pay for his properties using his own funds is testament to his commitment to avoiding long-term financing, private investments, or other ownership structures in his media empire. Williams claims he can be free in thought, action and deed by owning all his media properties.
Williams, despite being staunchly independent is well-known as a conservative. However, he is not a slave to party doctrine or dogma and is just as comfortable in the city than he is at board rooms and political gatherings.
Armstrong Williams Productions will be traveling to the United Kingdom in the next few weeks to report on the conditions and impact of the Syrian refugee camps.
